CREATIVE WRITING IMMERSION
A Trip Through America and Through Self

YOSEMITE, CA
June 2018
Standing in sharp contrast to the cultivated appearances of L.A. and Las Vegas, my time spent in Yosemite was easily the most fulfilling. I arrived in time for the renovated Mariposa Grove grand opening and pushed myself to my physical limits exploring its meandering trails and climbing the heights of the Upper Yosemite Falls. This experience was easily my most inspiring for both photography and writing content.
HOLLYWOOD, CA
June 2018
The absolute height of spectacle. This stop was marked by razzle, dazzle, and a strong focus on the visual. The historic Hotel Hollywood, Grauman's Chinese Theater, and The Hollywood Museum showcase a colorful history, but diving beneath the glossy surface reveals a grittier, less polished landscape. This city has much to teach about the power of appearance.

NAVAJO NATION CAPITAL
WINDOW ROCK, AZ
June 2018
It was a stroke of luck to arrive during the 150th anniversary of the treaty-signing with America. Scholars and cultural leaders from across the country had converged at the museum and cultural center to discuss where the Najavo (or Dine) people had been and where they were headed. A complex people with a complex history that is undeniably linked to the country's past, but also to it's future.
